Bobbi Brown Black Velvet Collection!

I was walking through my department store and was coming across the Bobbi Brown counter, when these shadows stopped me in my tracks!

These are the New Sparkle eye shadows from the Black Velvet Collection.

I picked up two of the Sparkle eye shadows, one in Black and another in Black Velvet.  It's hard to tell in these photos but they both have blue and purple shimmer flecks in them, and it's so beautiful!

I am really loving these! They have almost a buttery feel to them, they are really soft.

They are very pigmented, but are easy to blend. They are a mix of shimmer and glitter so you will get some fall out, but you won't lose all of the glitter on your lids.

I have used other glittery shadows and I've always found that by the end of the day all the glitter is on my face and the base color of the shadow is all that's left on my lids (and I always use a primer/base) which is no fun, but with these I was pleasantly surprised that I still had lots of sparkly glitter on my lids at the end of the day.

These are great for a smoky eye, and they look so beautiful layered over other shadows.

I wouldn't say these are for everyone since they are so extreme on the glitter but if you are a lover of pretty, sparkly shadows, like me, then you will love these!

There are other great products out with this collection as well.

The New Sparkle eye shadows can be found at your local Bobbi Brown Counter or at for $24.

Have you checked out the Black Velvet Collection? What are your thoughts on it? Let me know in the comments.

Hmmm kind of sounds all too familiar... hasn't this been done before. Tsk tsk Bobbi Brown branching off a M.A.C. collection just barely a year after it was released.

I need black velvet! I saw a review of it awhile back on Temptalia and made a mental note to buy it. I was at the mall last night and totally forgot! I will have to write it down on my next shopping list ;) And I disagree with the comment above. MAC's Style Black collection was fun, but I am sure Bobbi Brown's shadows are better quality than MAC's Mineralized e/s, which I personally don't like. Too chunky!

Oh yes you must check it out! Everything is so beautiful! And I agree with you, MAC's collection was fun, but Black Velvet is just better in my opinion. Also even if Bobbi's collection was inspired by MAC's it doesn't mean it's not a great collection of products. We can share the love with all the makeup lines out there, well I can because I'm just a makeup junkie!:D
