NOTD ~ Revlon Top Speed Nail Enamel in Violet

Here is a quick nail of the day for you. I mentioned in my previous nail post that I picked up Violet from Revlon's New Top Speed Nail Enamel Collection, and here it is.

This is such a great purple! It's not too dark and not too bright. I've been wearing it for a few days and have received several compliments on it from strangers.

You can read my full review on the consistency and such here http://www.lipglossgossip.com/2011/01/new-revlon-top-speed-nail-enamel-review.html

I am loving this color! There are a lot of other great colors to choose from as well so definitely check these out if you can.

You can find these at your local drugstore for around $4-$5.

Purchased by myself.

Honey Update! :)

As you all know my dog that went missing, came home last Saturday. She was gone for a full week!

We searched for her, posted signs, and checked the shelters, but we just couldn't find her.

Well last Saturday she found her way back home! Thank God!

We are so happy to have her back home with us where she belongs. When she came home she didn't look too great. She had lost a lot of weight, her coat was thin, she was very weak, and was not eating. We set up an appointment for her with the vet as soon as possible.

We are happy to say she checked out just fine. She was just lacking her nutrients that she was not getting from being out in the street. She needed to eat, drink, get lots of love, and rest up.

She did start to eat later on in the day when she came home last Saturday and she is doing great now! She is eating, drinking, and playing normally. Honey is back to her old self again, which makes us so happy.

She has gained some weight back and isn't weak anymore. When Honey came home she didn't even have the strength to jump on the couch. She can jump on the couch and the bed now. :)

Thank you all for your support and comments.

Honey Thanks you too! :D

Hello Kitty For Sephora, Eau de Parfum Spray!

The Hello Kitty for Sephora Collection is now available. I checked it out a few days ago but the only thing that really called out to me was the Eau de Parfum Spray.

I sprayed a little on at the store and could still smell it hours later in the evening, so that was a plus. It's not a strong scent, but it is long lasting. It's very fruity, and a little floral. It smells similar to Very Sexy Now or like an Escada perfume. It's a really great scent, and perfect for Spring and Summer.

Notes ~ Cassis Sorbet, Italian Mandarin, Apple, Magnolia Blossom, Freesia, Orange Flower, Tonka Bean, Vanilla, Musk.

The packaging is adorable! How cute is this bottle! I love it! I think it's worth it for the bottle itself. :)

It's a 1.7oz for $55, which isn't too bad, in my opinion.

Also the atomizer adds the cutest touch.

There is also a Body Splash, Roller Ball, and Solid necklace. I would have liked to see the necklace but my store didn't have it in-stock.

All of this and more can be found on Sephora.com .

What do you think of the Hello Kitty Collection? Are you a Hello Kitty fan? Let me know in the comments.

New Revlon Top Speed Nail Enamel Review and NOTD

I saw a commercial for these new nail polishes from Revlon a week ago and have been trying to find them since. They didn't have them at either of my Target stores or Ulta, but I found them last night at CVS.

One Coat, It could have used two but I wanted to show how opaque one coat is.

I was really interested in these because they claim to dry in 60 seconds and the colors looked so bold.

I didn't have high expectations though, because I have tried other nail polishes that dry in 60 seconds and the color is always so sheer, and you have to apply several coats to achieve the bottle color.

I was so impressed with these. The color was so opaque in one coat, and one coat did dry in 60 seconds, maybe even less than that.

The formula is also really great, it isn't too thick or thin.

The color above is Royal and I also picked up Violet. I really love Royal because it's not too dark. It's the perfect blue. I'll post a NOTD in Violet soon because it's so pretty as well!

These were $5.99 with a BOGO half off at CVS.

They come in 32 colors, so there is something for everyone. There are even a lot of the trend colors we have been seeing, like the mint green, pastel violets and more.

Definitely check these out if you can. You can find them at your local drugstore and prices may vary.

I will be picking up some more of these! :)

Have you tried the New Revlon Top Speed Nail Enamels? What do you think of them? Let me know in the comments.

My Dog Came Home!!!

Just yesterday I blogged about my dog being lost. She got out of our backyard. I have been so sad about it all week. It's been exactly one week that she has been gone.

Well I was in my backyard a few hours ago, when I heard a whimper that sounded like her. I called her name and heard the whimper again, so I ran in my house to open the front door and I could hear scratching on the door as I was opening it, and THERE SHE WAS!!!!

I couldn't believe she was home. I was so happy, my hands were shaking, I just couldn't believe she was in front of me again!

She was so happy to be home, she was jumping up and excited but she was also whimpering a lot. She doesn't have any physical injuries from what it looks like. We checked her legs, paws, and body.

She has lost some weight though. She also seems very weak. She went right over to the water bowl when she came in and was guzzling it down.

She doesn't want to eat though, so I am worried about that. We gave her dry food and she didn't want it so we tried wet dog food, but nope.

I made an appointment at the vets office so she can get checked up. The soonest they could see her is on Monday so I will update you all with what they tell me.

We have heard that dogs can experience Post Traumatic Stress and I think she might have it. She seems freaked out by her experience. She lead a very spoiled life before this so it must have been hard for her out in the street with no food, water, and love.

I'll make sure she gets everything she needs to be a happy, healthy dog again!

And by the way, my husband did cover the whole where she got out. We'll be taking extra precautions to make sure this doesn't happen again! :)

I'm just so happy to have her back!

Thank you all for all your support! You girls are the best!

UPDATE ~ As I was working on this post she started eating! I think she's going to be OK!

She looks a bit rough here but she's on the road to recovery! :)

My dog went missing :(

If you follow me on twitter you might have seen my tweet on Saturday where I mentioned that my dog was missing. She got out of our backyard. We opened the back door to let the dogs in and she wasn't there. They were not out very long at all so we figure she's right outside or in the neighborhood but she was nowhere to be found. We looked for hours and couldn't find her. We posted signs up right away all over the neighborhood.

It's almost a week later already and we haven't found her.

This is the reason for my absence in blogging. I have been so sad. I'm not trying to get sympathy from anyone but if you have a pet that has gone missing I'm sure you know how I feel.

She is a little over a year old, still pretty young so I am so worried about her.

We have signs posted, ads posted, and have been checking the shelter daily to see if she gets picked up.

I'm hoping I'll see my Honey Bunny again soon because I'm missing her so much. :(

I'll try to get back to blogging as soon as I can but right now I'm engrossed with trying to find my dog.

If you have any tips for finding lost dogs please let me know in the comments.

Nails Of The Day, Sally Hansen Loyal Lavender And Happy New Year!

I went in to Walgreen's a couple a weeks ago and  they had a full display of these New Sally Hansen Nail Growth Miracle Nail Colors. Only one really caught my eye, it was the color Loyal Lavender.

This is similar to a lot of the Lavenders we have seen in the past but what I liked about this one was that it had a beautiful pearlescent finish to it.

This formula is suppose to help grow longer and stronger nails. I can't really say much about that, as I have only worn it for about a week and change nail polish colors, brands, and formulas too frequently to notice a change.

I really love this color though. I've been wearing a lot of darker colors recently so this is a nice change. Loyal Lavender is a great color for Spring as well.

I'm wearing two coats here.

You should be able to find this at your nearest drugstore for around $5 - $6.

Disclaimer ~ This was purchased by myself.

I also wanted to wish everyone a Happy New Year! I have a lot planned for 2011 and can't wait for what's to come this year, like a new car! :)
