I went to my Sally's last week and they had the China Glaze Magnetix nail polishes in, so I picked up a couple of them.
This one here is called Pull Me Close, which is a greyed-blue shade. I also picked up a purple shade but haven't had a chance to use that one yet.
When I first saw these in other blogs I was really excited because I am all for nail trends. I do not follow trends with clothes, but with nails I don't mind because it's fun, easy, and quick to change up if you don't like it.
I wore this for 4 days with no chipping, it would have probably lasted longer but I just wanted to change my nail color.
As far as application goes, it can be difficult. You have to do one nail at a time, because it starts to dry and if you wait too long the magnet wont work. So you paint one nail and then immediately hold the magnet close over your nail for 5 to 10 seconds to get the design to come out, but holding it close without nicking your nails is hard!
I nicked my nails so many times! I found what worked well is to do this in front of a mirror so you can see how close you are getting to your nails to make sure you don't mess them up.
It takes some getting used to but after a few applications you will get it.
Tip~ When applying your topcoat, make sure your nails are dry otherwise you might smear the design you just made!
This whole manicure was very time consuming, so if you have little ones or babies that need your attention I would recommend you do this when someone else is home with you to care for them so you have plenty of time to get it done. I can't imagine trying to find the time to get this done without my husband home, because I have an infant and an 8 year old that constantly need me.
This is the magnet you use to create the design, which is not included with the nail polish, so that's a bit of a downer, but Sally's is giving it to you for free if you purchase two Magnetix nail colors.
Overall I do love the look of this and would definitely recommend it if your into fun nail designs.
You can find the China Glaze Magnetix nail polishes at your local Sally's or Ulta.
What do you think of the new magnetic nail polishes coming out? Will you be picking any up?
