Influenster Paradise Voxbox Review

I was lucky enough to qualify for the recent Paradise Voxbox from influenster!

It came with a great assortment of things to try.

Dr Scholls for her High Heel inserts
I have never used dr schools inserts before so I was excited to try these.

The inserts provide the most cushion in the arch of the foot with added gel in that area. I have a pair of wedges that are soooo uncomfortable so I tried these with them. In my wedges they are the most uncomfortable in the toe area so I didn't know if these would help. After placing these in my shoes and using them I still get discomfort wearing my shoes but I am able to wear them for a longer period of time before they become unbearable lol. So I would say it's a definite improvement! I recommend giving these a try for your uncomfortable heels! :)

Goody Tangle Fix
So this product is a hair brush that claims to be more gentle on detangling your hair. I have very long thick, course wavy/curly hair. I honestly never use a hair brush which probably sounds bad lol but my hair never looks bad, I just always use wide tooth combs on my hair. It says to use this on dry or wet hair, so I used it right after my shower on wet hair. I felt like the width of the brush bristles were too short to fully reach through my thick hair to detangle it, if that makes sense. I feel like it took me much longer to comb through my hair with this than my wide tooth comb. It's nice for just smoothing out the top of my hair  but that's about it. My 22 month old son on the other hand loves it! I use this on his hair all the time so it's come in handy! This wound be great for little girls  hair! :)

Olay Fresh Effects Shine Shine Go Away Cleanser
This is a shine minimizing cleanser. It's suppose to minimize shine throughout the day. Now how can you truly know if a face wash prevents shine! I have no idea! BUT I feel like it works! Of course I wear makeup, and shine minimizing face primers and potions so who's to say this cleanser is doing the job and not those! Well I can say I have seen less shine throughout the day since using this, but maybe it's the fact that it's finally cooling off here in California lol, but I think it's working so that's what counts! Cleansing wise it does a great job at removing my makeup and keeping my face clean. It doesn't irritate my skin. It smells great! It's a win for me! :)

Suave Moroccon Argan Styling Oil
This couldn't have come at a better time! Prior to coloring my hair I had super healthy shiny hair. Since coloring, my hair is still soft and manageable but I find it's not as shiny as I'd like so I've been on this hair product kick, buying all sorts of hair serums and balms to try. I was really excited to try a new one! I apply this to wet hair and then style as usual. I definitely see a difference when using this. I get very soft hair and lots of shine! Just what I wanted! The smell is ok. I don't hate it, but it's not my favorite scent. It does exactly what it says though so I like it. Although don't use too much because I can totally see it making your hair look greasy if you apply too much. Check this out if you need a new hair serum!

Last but not least is the NYC Sparkle Eye Dust
I love this! I had never used these before but it's so pretty! The color I got is #882 Smokey Topaz. It's a gorgeous shimmery taupe/brown shade. It's really gorgeous all over the lid or towards the inner corners. I used UDPP with it and it lasted all day! It is a loose shadow, but the applicator makes it easy to apply. After I apply it, I use a blending brush to blend out any harsh edges. I'm going to pick up a few more colors!! Check these out at your local drugstore for $2.99!

Overall I'm so happy with all these great products I got to try! It's always fun to try a variety of new products whether it be makeup, skincare, or haircare. I definitely recommend you try these out. You can find all of these at your local drugstore.

Thanks to Influenster for giving me the opportunity and choosing me for the Paradise VoxBox!

Kat Von D Spellbinding Lipstick Set Review and Swatches!

The time is among us where all beauty companies will start bringing out their holiday sets!! I am such a sucker for kits and sets! While browsing Sephora recently I came across the new Kat Von D Spellbinding lipstick set so I ordered it instantly!
This is a set of 10 mini lipsticks that range from neutrals, to classic reds, and fun brights!
I love the black packaging with floral detail.
Here they are next to full size lipsticks from Senna Cosmetics and MAC. The Kat Von D mini lipsticks have .042 oz of product and a full size KVD lipstick has .11oz.

I love this set of little lipsticks! Most of the shades are all a cream or matte formula with the exception of Thin Lizzy which is more of a frosty metallic shade.

These are very long wearing. I wore these through eating and drinking and had no fading. Also when I swatched these and washed them off they stained my hand. I scrubbed and scrubbed but you could still see the stain!

All of them applied smoothly and evenly. Since these are more of a matte formula they can feel a bit drying on the lips. I recommend starting with smooth exfoliated lips, apply a thin coat of your fav lip balm as a primer, and then your lipstick.

I obviously love all of the bright colors. My favorites are Luv, Mau5, and A GoGo. Vampire is a really great color for Fall. Underage Red is a gorgeous classic red that I love! If you happen to pick this up, try Underage Red with Thin Lizzy on the center of your lips! It's a gorgeous look and will be great for the Holidays!

This would be such a great gift to give someone or a great stocking stuffer. Another cute thing you could do is split the colors up and give a couple to all your girl friends or tie them to gifts as an added little gift/decoration.

You can get this set at Sephora or for $39.

I definitely recommend you check it out! :D

Too Faced Pretty Rebel Review and Swatches

When I saw the release of the Too Faced Pretty Rebel palette I was not really interested in it, that is until I saw the display at my Ulta. They were out of stock though, so I ordered it as soon as I got home because I had a 15% off coupon!

The palette itself is gorgeous! It comes in a standard cardboard packaging with magnetic closure but it's so pretty with gold glittery casing and it's sturdy.

L to R
Top Row - Dainty, Charming, Girly, Totally Fetch, Miss Sparkles
Bottom row - Ringleader, Gangsta, Instigator, Badass, Jailbird

I love that this comes with a great variety of colors. I'm very happy that there's a matte cream color to highlight with and a matte brown that's good for the crease. I've probably said this a million times on my blog but I hate when I don't get a matte highlight and matte crease color in a palette because I feel like they're essential in making a palette work.

All the colors are very easy to blend and are pigmented nicely except for the bright pink shade, Totally Fetch. It's a bit disappointing because I was the most excited for this color. I had to really pack Totally Fetch on to get the swatch you see above.

With all that said I still think this is a great palette worth checking out.

This would be such a great gift to give to a girl friend. It's not to early to start thinking about Christmas! Only three months away! :)

You can find this at Ulta, Sephora, or for $46.

OCC Moderncraft Liptars Review and Swatches!

Don't you hate it when you ask someone a question at Sephora or a beauty counter and they have no idea what your talking about! This was my experience when I called sephora to ask if they had the new OCC Moderncraft collection in stock. They should have as much passion and knowledge in cosmetics as I do! Lol...maybe it's just my problem being a beauty blogger.

Well after driving across town and searching sephora myself I found them! I picked up the four liptars in the collection and passed on the two stained glosses.

L to R
Role Play ~ Deep red with red shimmer
Sebastian ~ Cool grey/taupe
Black Metal Dahlia ~ Dark wine red with pinky/red shimmer
Anita ~ red based brown

I am in love with these! You all already know I love liptars and these don't disappoint! The colors (with the exception of Sebastian) are dark and vampy. It just makes me long for gloomy weather, sweaters, and boots but I live in California and Fall is nowhere in sight as its 100 degrees today!! :/ At least I can be fashionably fall ready with my OCC liptars!

Like all liptars these have that great minty scent in them. They are opaque and long lasting. There are two new stained gloss in this collection but I didn't pick those up as they are very sheer and just didn't feel a need for them.

Role Play is a very wearable shade. It's the lightest red shade of the bunch so if you want something for the fall that's wearable go for this one. This is going to be great for the holidays as well!

Sebastian is such a unique color! I love it! It actually looks really cool on the lips! It almost comes off as a nude color with a twist lol. This one is just a lot of fun. Sebastian will be great for Halloween too! If your a fan of mixing liptars get this one.

Black Metal Dahlia is stunning!! It's dark and shimmery! It's very bold and daring! You'll definitely get heads turning with this eye catching shade!

Anita is a gorgeous dark brown! This one doesn't have any shimmer but it's just as gorgeous as the others!

I'll probably post lip swatches of these on my instagram soon, but if you want to see them here just let me know and I'd be happy to do that for you.

I highly recommend you check these out!

You can find them at Sephora,, or for $18 each.

What do you think of the OCC Moderncraft collection?
