Senna Cosmetics Sunglow Summer Collection Review and Swatches plus Coupon Code!

A few weeks ago I received a gorgeous package from Senna Cosmetics with the new Sunglow Collection. I can't tell you how thrilled I was to get this after seeing these beautiful promo images.

It's taken me awhile to get around with playing/testing everything as I have acquired so much makeup in a short period of time because of PHAMExpo, but I have finally tested all of these products and have some definite favorites to share!

Brilliant Bronze $42 each

I received the Brilliant Bronze in Sunset and Dawn. I love the Senna design on the packaging. It's a nice shiny, sleek and sturdy compact with a mirror inside

Sunset is by far my favorite of the Brilliant Bronze. Initially I thought it would be way to dark for my light/medium complexion but it's so blendable I find this works on all skin tones! I love the dark shade for contouring. The gold side I use to highlight and it gives you a really gorgeous glow.
Gold Shimmer side, Bronze side, and then both swirled together

Dawn is a softer shade. The darker shade would work well as a bronzer/contour on the fairest skintone, but I've been using it swirled together as a highlight and it's stunning.
Lighter side, bronzer side, both swirled together

Rose Gold Glow and Emerald Glow $18 each

I got the eyeshadows in Rose Gold Glow and Emerald Glow. Rose Gold is a pretty and natural color. It's a great soft wash of color on the lid or inner corner highlight. Emerald is a stunning green! I've been using this one a lot! I love it all over the lid. When emerald was announced as the color of the year a lot of companies put out emerald eyeshadows but so many of them were so dark but Emerald Glow is perfection! It really makes brown eyes standout! These are both highly pigmented and blendable.

Ultra Black and Ultra Brown Ultra Last Eyeliners $20 each

These eyeliners are amazing! They are waterproof for up to 14 hours of wear! I can attest to the fact that these are super long lasting. So long lasting that you need a good eye makeup remover to get them off! I swatched these on my hand and when I went to remove them with a regular baby wipe it didn't come off at all. I pulled out an eye makeup remover and even then I had to scrub to get some of it off. Ultimately I the best way I removed it was with a cleansing oil. They do apply opaque and smoothly with no tugging, but once they set they're budge proof!

This was after I wiped with eye makeup remover and they're still there!

Down to Earth and Midas Cream lipstick $20 each

You all know I'm not really one for a neutral lip but I actually really loved these. Down to Earth is a great "my lips but better" shade. It's a great everyday color if your into these neutral tones. Midas is my new favorite topper lipstick. I can apply this on top of any color to give it a cool gold/shimmer effect! They are both opaque and creamy and glide on the lips effortlessly.

Sunstone and Bonfire Lip Lacquers $20 each

Sunstone is gorgeous copper/gold high shine gloss and I'm in love with it! It's the perfect Summer beachy shade! Apply this on top of red lipstick and you'll die! It is ahhhhmazing! Bonfire is bright tangerine gloss. Unlike Sunstone, Bonfire is a cream shade with no shimmer. Do I need to tell you I love this?! You all know I love a bold lip so this is love! You can wear Bonfire sheered out in a thin layer or you can apply a good coat for more color, or on top of a little lipstick or lip liner to make it really pop! These are a bit sticky as they are lacquers providing a high shine.

Swatches L to R
Rose Gold eyeshadow, Emerald e/s, Ultra Black, Ultra Brown, Down To Earth lipstick, Midas lipstick, Sunstone Lip Lacquer, and Bonfire Lip Lacquer.

Powder Point 33 Brush $38

I love a good brush! I'm a brush junkie! I have so many brushes and brush sets and I continue to get more and more but maybe that's the artist in me...you can never have too many! The Powder Point brush is spot on. It's perfect with the Brilliant Bronze. The point makes it easy for you to pick up the smaller side of the powder to highlight and of course you can use the side to pick up the larger bronze side of the Brilliant Bronze powders. It is super soft and dense enough. It is not scratchy at all. It is also a full size brush. It shed a few hairs with the first wash but I haven't had any shedding since. Senna makes amazing brushes, so definitely check them out! Don't you just love the seafoam/green color too!
These are a couple pics I instagrammed. The first I'm wearing Down To Earth lipstick with Sunstone lip lacquer, and the bottom I'm wearing a little of Senna Valentina lipstick with Bonfire lip lacquer on top and it's a great match to the promo shot! Don't you love how shiny it looks! :)

This is such a great collection! I honestly love everything. I definitely recommend you check them out on https://sennacosmetics.com/index.php .

You can also check out all the great videos Eugenia Weston has on youtube showing you how to create the looks from the promo shots and much more! http://www.youtube.com/user/SennaCosmetics?feature=watch

PhamExpo Weekend!! Haul Preview and more!

I had such an amazing time at PHAMExpo last weekend! I plan on sharing it all on my blog, and showing you all the great makeup I picked up, but I thought I would give you all a little preview post.

I got in to L.A. on Friday afternoon around 3pm and checked into my hotel. This is my room I had at the Sheraton. I really like staying at the Sheraton because it's literally right next to the Pasadena Convention Center so I can just walk right out the door and into the Center. I wish the hotel would renovate though because everything is so old, it's just a bit dated. They have great service though.

After I checked in I ordered some room service because I hadn't eaten all day! The turkey, bacon, and avocado club was delicious!

Since I was there early I decided to go out and walk around. There's a lot of shops and stuff around there. When I walked out front I saw there was a band playing outside, not sure who they were but I was watching them perform lol. Next thing I know someone was asking me if I could take their picture and it was these lovely ladies here. I met GlamDollAloha and Lissaandbeauty and they were both in town for PHAMExpo. I believe they had plans on meeting but it was their first time meeting in person. After we got to talking we hung out the rest of the night together.

This was completely unexpected for me. I'm a very shy person so meeting new people can be hard for me. I always feel awkward and uncomfortable around new people, but it was not like that with them. We all got along so well. It was never awkward or uncomfortable. These were the sweetest girls I've met in a long time. We all had a great time. :)
We were all happy to get our VIP badges and wristbands! And we all had bright nails!

We ended the night with some dessert at Mi Piace. Lissa treated us she was so sweet!

And here it is my preview of many, many reviews and swatches to come! I bought a ton of stuff but I saved money for this so it's ok! Click on the image to enlarge! :)

I got some Lime Crime, OCC, Violent Lips, Mehron, BDellium Tools, Ben Nye, Bon Bliss, Inglot, and so much more! I've been photographing everything and testing things out for review. If there's anything you'd like to hear about first let me know.

Make sure you check out my friends YouTube channels http://www.youtube.com/user/GlamDollAloha  http://www.youtube.com/user/lissaandbeauty , I also met http://www.youtube.com/user/KairiYi on Saturday and she was super sweet as well.

I had such a great time all weekend! PHAMExpo was much smaller than IMATS and I loved being able to shop and talk to the exhibitors without long lines but I do want it to grow and be successful so we get a PHAMExpo every year lol! It was this best makeup show experience I've had thus far. Meeting all these gorgeous ladies made the weekend that much more fun! PHAMExpo was amazing and I already can't wait until next years show!

I have a post with pics from the show coming up next!
