Ponds Wet Cleansing Towelettes - Review

I received these Ponds Wet Cleansing Towelettes from Influenster about a month ago.

The pack only included five wipes but I think it was plenty to form an opinion.

The towel (wipe) has a quilted like texture.
It's hard to tell from this photo but they had a bit of a soapy/sudsy feel to them.

I've used a lot of wipes and none of them every felt soapy. I didn't really like that aspect of these wipes.

Here's a little before and after, after using the wipes.

The first photo is my makeup at the end of the day. I have pretty much a full face of makeup including foundation, blush, eyeshadow, mascara, liner, and brows.

I have to say I'm pretty impressed with these wipes. They did a great job at getting all my makeup off, including my mascara and liner.

They didn't leave an oily feeling to my face.

They contain vitamin E and are hypoallergenic.

Another positive is they didn't burn my eyes! It's never fun when you use a wipe to remove your eye makeup and it stings, but I didn't have that problem at all with these.

So despite the soapy feeling I really like how these wipes performed. I definitely recommend you check out the Ponds Wet Cleansing Towelettes.

You can find these at your nearest Target or drugstore.

Stila Eternally Yours Liquid Lipstick Set - Review and Swatches

I've loved the Stila liquid lipsticks for years. I've blogged about them years ago, before liquid lipsticks were all the rage. They still remain in my top five favorites.

I was thrilled to see this cute little set come out a couple months ago! I was going to have to pass on posting about it because it sold out but it came back in-stock on so I figured I'd share!

The set is $39 and includes six mini liquid lipsticks.
The packaging is cute. It's a great gift for the holidays! It would make a great stocking stuffer as well. Stick a bow on it and you're good to go!

Another cute thing would be to gift one individually to each of you're friends with a candy cane and some ribbon tied around it!
The shades included are Caramello, Patina, Fiery, Como, Chianti, and Aria.

Natural light, still semi wet
L to R - Caramello, Patina, Fiery, Como, Chianti, and Aria.
Natural light, mostly dried/set

I didn't have any of these shades so this was a great choice for me. I bought it mostly for the shade Como. It was a new shade they released in the summer and I really wanted to try it. I thought it would be great to have a couple of more nude shades since I don't really have any in liquid lipstick form.

Caramello is a flesh tone nude. It's a bit light for my taste but I can wear it with a lip pencil to make it more wearable for myself.

Patina is a pink/mauve nude, think Kylie Jenner lip. I really love this one and have used it quite a few times already. It's an easy color to throw on when you don't know which lipstick to wear or you're in a rush.

Fiery is a classic red. I love this one! I used to have the full size years ago but used it up. Happy to have it again! Great for the holiday season!

Como is a bright almost neon purple. I love this shade! I've only worn it a couple times but mostly because I've been embracing the Fall and wearing some deeper shades. I'm sure I'll wear this a ton in the Spring.

Chianti is a very deep plum berry. It's a very vampy shade. I love it!

Lastly my favorite of them all has been Aria. It's a beautiful deep magenta cranberry shade. It has honestly been my go to lipstick recently. I've been using it a lot! This is a must have in my opinion!

These are all very long lasting. You can eat and drink with these on and they won't budge. I get a little fading on the inner lip area by the end of the day but it's very minimal.

They can be a little drying so I recommend you exfoliate your lips prior to wearing a liquid lipstick to make sure you have a smooth surface to work with. Then apply a dab of lip balm to prime your lips, then your liquid lipstick will apply smoothly and evenly.

I definitely recommend you check this out. I got mine from Sephora. It's not in-stock on sephoras site but they might have it in your local store.

It is in-stock on right now though!

Like I said this would make a great gift for the holidays, especially for a makeup junkie! :)

I hope you all had a Happy Thanksgiving!

Lorac Mega Pro 2 Palette - First Impressions, Review and Swatches!

Oooooh you know the holidays are getting near once all the holiday makeup collections start to release! Like you I have many items on my list. Oddly enough this was not something I was initially interested in. I'm not quite sure why. I have the original Lorac pro and pro two palette and absolutely love them. I passed on the Mega pro last year and kinda regretted it once it was sold out.

I was going to pass on this one too but after seeing pictures of it over and over again on my instagram feed, it started to look like a great palette that I could and would use every day.

I picked this up on Sunday at my Ulta and I'm so glad I did!

The palette is quite pricey at $59 but I think it's definitely worth the price. The regular Lorac Pro palettes are $42 a piece and you're getting two palettes in one here for only $17 more. So I think it's definitely worth it.

I feel like most Lorac palettes I've purchased have come with a eye primer but this one does not, just so you are aware.

The palette in size is not bulky despite being double the size of a Lorac pro palette. The thinness of the palette keeps it from being bulky. I think it would be great for travel. You have every shade you'd need with you. I love that there is a nice size mirror included.

The palette includes sixteen matte shades in the top two rows and sixteen shimmer shades on the bottom rows.

I think you get a great variety of warm and cool tones. There are great blending shades, transition shades, and I love a good shimmery lid shade and there are plenty of them!

The looks that you can create are endless. You can get a great neutral eye, smokey eye, and even a colorful eye look.

If you have never used Lorac eye shadows you don't know what you're missing! Lorac eye shadows are some of the best out there. The formula is like butter...BUTTER!  The pigmentation is amazing. They blend easily. Some of them can kick up a lot of dust but that doesn't hinder the quality, blend-ability, or performance at all.

On to some swatches!

First row - Matte
Second row - Matte

Third row - Shimmer

Fourth row - Shimmer

I've already used this palette and love it! I am so glad that I changed my mind and picked it up. I know I will use this a lot. I highly recommend that you pick up the Lorac Mega Pro 2 for yourself before it sells out. It is a limited edition item so once it's gone, it's gone!

This would be a great gift for anyone this holiday season!

You can find it on ulta now!

Do you plan on getting the Lorac Mega Pro 2? What holiday collections are you looking forward to?

Vera Wang Embrace Fragrance Review and Enter to Win your own set!

Here's something fun for a change! A fragrance review!

I don't review fragrance too often but I do love collecting perfume and trying new scents.

I do have a few signature scents that I stick to but it's nice to change it up every now and then.

I received these last week and wore them all weekend long.

First up I used the Vera Wang Periwinkle and Iris scent.

Here are the notes -
Top:  Bergamot, Mandarin, Violet Petals
Heart: Iris, Blue Jasmine, Periwinkle
Base: Vanilla, Benzoin, Whipped Sugar

This one was my least favorite. I don't love how it starts out when first applied but after it settles it has light sweet scent.

It lasted around four hours or so. By the end of the day I couldn't smell it at all. Not sure why.

Can be purchased here .

Vera Wang Embrace Green Tea and Pear Blossom

Top: Pear Blossom, Bergamot, Green Tea
Heart: Freesia, Peony, Orange Blossom
Base: Skin Musk, Cedarwood, Sandalwood

This was my favorite of the three. It definitely has a more of a muskier scent than the others but I think the green tea balances it out nicely. Of the three this one is more of an evening fragrance. It's a bit richer and more of date night kind of fragrance, yet its fresh and not over powering.

This one lasted the longest. I could still smell it on my skin at the end of the day.

I honestly can't get enough of this one! I can definitely see myself purchasing this when I run out.

Definitely recommend this one!

Can be purchased here .

Top: Rose Buds, Mandarin Oil, Damascene Rose
Heart: Cyclamen, Blue Iris, Sweet Magnolia
Base: Musk, Vanilla, Sandalwood

I honestly didn't think I was going to like this one as I'm not a big fan of rose scented perfumes but I actually really like it. It's my second favorite of the three.

You can definitely smell rose but with the vanilla and musk it calms the rose scent down. It's not too prevalent after an hour. I smell more of the vanilla and musk after it settles on me.

This one was about as long lasting as the Green Tea and Pear Blossom.

I can see myself wearing this one is the Spring a lot. If you love floral scents that aren't too strong check this one out.

Can be purchased here .

The packaging on all three is simple yet beautiful. They all come in a square glass bottle with a white linen label.

They each have one ounce of fragrance, which I think is great. I don't like to keep too much fragrance on the shelf.

Overall I've really been enjoying the Vera Wang Embrace fragrances. I would definitely recommend the Green Tea and Pear Blossom and Rose Buds and Vanilla but of course fragrance is your personal preference.

Now onto the fun part!!

One of my lucky readers will win all three fragrances! U.S. only. Sorry to my International folks but I'll have other items for you to win very soon and it will be open to everyone, but for this one it's U.S. only.

The Makeup Show Pop Up San Francisco Overview

I just wanted to share my experience from The Makeup Show Pop Up shop that I attended in San Francisco a few weeks ago.

I was so happy to attend the show at the last minute. Special thanks to my mom for watching my kids so I could go! Lol! It's not always easy to go and attend all these beaut events when you have small kids and a baby.

This was my first time going to The Makeup Show.

One of the best parts of attending beauty events is meeting people in the industry and learning about new products. I met Eric Jimenez and learned of his awesome new foundation applicator. Its a very innovative tool and I'm excited to share it with you all soon!

I also learned of this new line called Han Skin Care Cosmetics. They had some really beautiful products. They are 100% natural and made from plant, vegetable, and fruit pigments. To top it off they're made here in the USA!
Loved checking out these Viseart palettes in person. They are such beautiful palettes. Much smaller than I expected though.

This is another new line I learned about at The Makeup Show called CAO Cosmetics, They are cruelty free, paraben free, and made in the USA as well! I can't wait to show you what I picked up from them!
I picked up a few of these Stilazzi eyeshadows and they are quite nice for only $2! I'll review them with swatches soon!

Gotta love some glitter!!

These are all the goodies I bought including a generous swag bag of new products to try as well!

I had such a great time. Like I said I don't get to go to too many beauty events so when I do I always make the most of it. I met so many awesome people. It's always fun to be in a room full of people who share the same passion as you.

I love being around top creators in the field to learn and grow.

The event had such a great turnout. I hope they bring it back out to northern California again next year. One thing is I hope the venue is larger and has some air conditioning because it was hot as hell in that room! Lol! All for the sake of beauty, cosmetics, learning, and networking though! :)

Thank you so much to The Makeup Show for having me! I'll have reviews of many of these products coming soon!

Makeup Monsters Cosmetics liquid lipstick review

I am all for trying new brands of products. When I hear of a new line that I haven't tried I'm always eager to get some products to get a feel for the line and see if it's any good.

I learned of Makeup Monsters Cosmetics through Instagram awhile ago. I have so many liquid lipsticks but figured I should try a couple out. They also just revamped their packaging and formula so that itself sold me!

How cute is this packaging. I know it's not something not everyone will love as it might clash against the lipstick color but I think it's fun! :)

        Redwood and Sassy

Now onto the colors themselves.

I wanted to get something unique and different than what I have already in my liquid lipstick collection so I ordered the shade Redwood. It is a stunning burnt red brown shade. It screams Fall weather! I can totally picture myself wearing this on a cool fall day with warm cozy sweater and some boots. Ugh I love it!

I wanted to get one other shade and figured why not get my signature bright pink, so I ordered the shade Sassy. Even if I have something similar I thought it would be good to try their formula because all liquid lipsticks are not created equal!

The formula on both of these is perfection. They are opaque in one swipe.

In the swatches above Sassy swatched a bit unevenly and I was worried it would be the same when applied to the lips but I had no issues with it at all. They both applied creamy and evenly. I had no patchiness.

These claim to have a long wearing "touch proof" formula and I'd have to agree. I wore them both for a good nine hours and only had some fading on the inner lip area from eating and drinking. I kissed my hubby and kids and had no transferring at all.

The formula is so good that they didn't dry out my lips at all. My lips felt hydrated throughout the entire time I had it on yet they didn't transfer. Amazing!
These are $15.95 each for 0.20 oz of product. This is a great price for such a good quality liquid lipstick. I would know, I've tried them all!

Sephora and Kat Von D liquid lipsticks have always been my top favorites but honestly these might just take over! I'm so happy with these liquid lipsticks. I'm definitely going to get more!

If you're into more nude shades they have quite a few to choose from along with a ton of other colors! They even have some blues, greens, black and grays!

I definitely recommend you check these out if you're into liquid lipsticks!

Mommy blog - Fisher Price Precious Planet 2 in 1 Projection MobileReview

When I was putting my daughters room together I wasn't sure what theme I was going to go with. As it came together I ended up with a room centered around a princess theme.

I couldn't really find a mobile that matched or I even liked but it got to the point where I needed something to keep her entertained for a few minutes so I can get things done.

I was browsing baby products as I always do now and came across this Fisher Price Precious Planet mobile and it had great reviews so I ordered it instantly.
As you can see this no way represents a princess room but this has been one of our best baby purchases!

This is when we first set it up a couple months ago. We initially placed it on the side of the crib but it sat too low.

On the inside of the canopy/umbrella it projects images of animals, which is super cool and adorable!

Here is a better look at the whole thing. You can see it is rather large, so we moved it on the back of the crib and it gave her a better view since its higher up.
Closer look. It doesn't match her room at all but it is very cute!

The canopy can be removed so you can project the images on the ceiling.

The mobile also plays lullabys, nature sounds, and a heartbeat.

Whenever I need to set her down for a few minutes or she's getting fussy I set her in her crib with the lullabys playing and she calms down.

When I put her to bed, if she's awake when I'm laying her down I'll turn it on the nature sounds with the projection on. She never has any problems falling asleep. She'll stare at it and doze right off.

There is a two sound volume control and you can also control whether you want just the sound on, the sound with the mobile spinning, or the sound, spinning, and projection on.

The mobile also comes with a remote control. It's a one button control just to power on and off but it comes in handy if you need to turn it back on.

This mobile has been a life saver! It has allowed me to grab a snack or drink, do something for one of my other kids, get some laundry done, and more.

If you're a new mom I definitely recommend this mobile!

You can find it on for $50.
