Smashbox Crush on Blush Palette ~ Review and Swatches

Let's talk about blush!

I go through stages where I will wear the same blush everyday for weeks or even months, but then there are times that I want to try something new and that time is now!

I had been eyeing this Smashbox Crush On Blush palette (a Nordstrom exclusive) for quite awhile. I finally took the plunge and ordered it a couple weeks ago.

The palette consists of one highlight, one bronzer, and four blushes.
It includes a nice large mirror as well.
Natural light
Top L to R - Shimmer, Warm Apricot, & Guava
Bottom - Suntan, Rosy, & Rosette
Natural light

This palette contains a great range of colors. I tend to always go for a warm peachy color or cooler pink tone and this has exactly that.

The peachy colors are more on the shimmer side, while Rosy and Rosette are matte shades

The suntan bronzer is a great for light to medium complexions and I've been loving it to contour.

The highlight is so gorgeous! You can use it with the blushes in the palette to get that extra glowy look or you can combine it with any blush you have.

All six shades are very pigmented and apply evenly. They all blend effortlessly.

This is really a great blush palette. I'm surprised this has not got more buzz in the beauty world. I think it might be due to the fact that it's not in Sephora or Ulta so it's not as accessible to everyone since it's a Nordstrom exclusive.

I've been using this every time I have done my makeup since I've had it. It's a one stop shop, with everything I need to contour, blush, and highlight. This would be great for travel as well.

It is $45 which I think is a reasonable price, especially for such an amazing blush palette.

If you have a Nordstrom nearby I strongly suggest you check this out or order it online from . If you have been considering this palette don't sit on it because it is Limited Edition and we all know the pain of missing out on LE items!

Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipsticks ~ Review & Swatches - Unicorn, Craft, Vintage, Heathers, & Carina!!

It's no shock that I have more lipsticks to review for you is it! :)

I purchased three of the Anastasia Beverly Hills liquid lipsticks about two months ago and just got two more in the mail a few days ago.

Natural light
Swatches L to R - Vintage, Heathers, & Carina

The first three I bought were Vintage, Heathers, and Carina.

Vintage is a gorgeous vampy purple/plum.

Heathers is a deep burgundy red.

Carina is a bright coral red.

The ones I just got are Unicorn and Craft from the new Summer collection.

Unicorn is a bright cotton candy pink!

Craft is a medium cranberry shade. It's so gorgeous!! Even though this is being released in a summer collection this is going to be gorgeous in the Fall as well!

Natural light
Here is a swatch of Craft underneath Vintage and Heathers for color comparison.

All of these have a standard doe foot applicator. The packaging is pretty standard too but one thing I dislike is the opening is kind of wide, so it tends to pull out a lot of product and you have to wipe a bunch off on the side which can get messy at times.

All five of these had great color payoff. They were all opaque upon one application.

They all wore for around five to six hours but all of them did fade on the inner lip area, especially when eating and drinking. I also found that they all transferred despite being a matte liquid lipstick. A tip to not have this problem is to just blot with a tissue a few minutes after application to remove any excess product.

You get .11oz of product for $20 which is quite pricey compared to KVD liquid lipsticks where you get double that .22oz for $20.

With that being said I do like these ABH liquid lipsticks. I think the colors are gorgeous.

There are a ton more colors to choose from (maybe 20+) so there are shades for every taste. There are quite a few nude shades as well. I really want a shade called Lovely but my Macy's has been out of stock forever! It's next on my list as soon as it's back in stock!!

If you love liquid lipsticks then you should definitely check these out! Craft is a must have! Go buy it now! :)

You can find them at your nearest Macy's or on .

Baby Update and Jeffree Star Cosmetics Velour Liquid Lipsticks Reviewand Swatches

Long time no blog post! I've been so busy preparing for the baby's arrival and finally having my baby girl that I haven't had much time to sit and blog. I have still been trying new products, well mostly before I gave birth because honestly I haven't had time to try makeup let alone wear any since I've had her. In case you were wondering I had her on April 17 at 12:07pm. She was 7lbs 14oz and 19 inches long. We named her Alexia Margaret Pallan. The crazy thing is she was born on my oldest sons birthday, so they share the same birthday, 11 years apart!
As real as it gets!
4 Moms MamaRoo! I'll have a review on this soon because I have some things to share about this!
Here is my sweet little Princess! I'm so in love with her! :)

So of course having a newborn hasn't given me much time to blog but I finally got a moment to sit and write so I'm here sharing some great new lip products!

I'm sure you have all heard who Jeffree Star is and his cosmetic line of liquid lipsticks, unless you live under a rock lol jk!!

I've known his name since the myspace days! Yes I'm taking it back lol! I remember seeing his pics, hair, makeup, and just visually loving what I saw. The bright bold colors of his whole persona drew me in! Although I never really followed his career or what he was doing but that recently changed through instagram. His images started showing up on my feed and I learned that he was coming out with his own makeup line. For some reason I didn't really jump at his products right away. I decided to finally take the plunge and ordered some lipsticks with his last launch.

I ordered the two new shades that he released in Queen Supreme and 714 and I also ordered Redrum.
Queen Supreme, 714, Redrum

Natural light
Queen Supreme, 714, Redrum
Wearing Queen Supreme

Queen Supreme has quickly become my favorite pink lipstick! It's my go to pink at the moment. It's such a fun bright cool pink. It's perfect for Spring!

Wearing Redrum
Redrum is a gorgeous classic red. I love this shade as well! This is a great neutral red. It's not too orange or blue based. It's perfect!

714 is a bright neon apricot shade. This is my least favorite of the bunch. I feel like the color doesn't work well with my complexion. It also has a very thin watery texture and requires more than one application to get even coverage. It doesn't apply as opaque as the other two.

Queen Supreme and Redrum both apply very opaque and evenly. They dry down to a matte finish quickly, while 714 takes quite a bit longer to set.

As you can see it tends to settle into the lines of your lips. If you have very dry lips this is going to make for an unattractive look. I don't have dry lips but it sure appears that way with this shade.

These have a very flexible sponge tip applicator. I was kinda iffy about the flexible applicator but I found it was easy to get a precise application.

The packaging is adorable!

These are $18 each and can be found on

Overall I'm loving Queen Supreme and Redrum and definitely recommend these two. I just ordered two more Velour liquid lipsticks in I'm Royalty and Prom Night and will have swatches and a review on those soon!

Have you purchased any Velour Liquid Lipsticks? What are your thoughts on these??
