Wet N Wild Megaglo Highlighting Powder - Precious Petals and Crown of My Canopy Review and Swatches

A few months ago Wet n Wild released a new collection that included the release of two new highlighting powders in the shades Precious Petals and Crown of My Canopy.

These were very hyped up all over social media instantly!

The thing is that when they released these products the drugstore displays only had three of each product, making them extremely hard to find.

I myself went to every drugstore to see if they had received these. I needed to see what the fuss was about!

Of course I missed out and was awaiting their release online, only to miss out time and time again when they went live online.

I finally was able to order these upon their last release on the wet n wild website!

I've had these highlighting powders for a couple weeks already so I've had a fair amount of time to play with them.

Natural light Precious Petals and Crown of My Canopy

As you can see Precious Petals is a bit more Champagne gold where Crown of My Canopy is a bit more bronzey.

The consistency of these is definitely not that almost creamy consistency that like a Laura Geller highlighter has. For some reason I imagined it would just from seeing it swatched on snapchat.

With that being said they are very pigmented and do apply smoothly and evenly.

They don't have a chunky glitter but they are shimmery.

Precious Petals has been my go to for the last week. I feel like it suits my complexion more than Crown of My Canopy.

Crown of My Canopy would look great on tan and dark complexions. I can wear it if I mix it with Precious Petals which makes a great combo!

After a few hours of wear the highlight isn't as prominent but it's still there, just a bit more subtle but never fully fades away.

You can definitely pack this on though for a very intense highlight or apply softly for a more subdued glow.

I have really been loving these!

Have I mentioned that these are only $3.99 each?!?!

You can always count on wet n wild to put out affordable cosmetics!

These are currently out of stock online but wet n wild has stated that they will be restocking these online! If you really want to get your hands on these I suggest you sign up for their emails to be notified when they're back in stock or keep up with them on social media.

For $3.99 I definitely recommend these highlighting powders!

Were you able to grab these? What were your thoughts?

The Makeup Show Pop Up Shop San Fracisco

Last year I attended The Makeup Show Pop Up Shop in San Francisco.

I can't believe it's been a year already!

Honestly at this time last year I wasn't doing so well mentally. I was dealing with so much anxiety. I needed to get out of the house and take in something new and this was so great for me!

If you've never attended The Makeup Show and are a makeup artist, newbie artist just starting out, or just a makeup lover this is the place to be!

It's so inspiring to be in a place full of people who have the same passion as you. Everyone there is ready to teach and share their passion and knowledge in the makeup industry with you.

If you are wanting to be a makeup artist education is key and the makeup show definitely is a wealth of information.

When I was first getting started in makeup like ten years ago there was nothing like this out here in my area.

I am truly happy they brought The Makeup Show out here to Northern California and are brining it back this year!

If you live anywhere in Northern California I definitely encourage you to come out to The Makeup Show this weekend and learn something new, get inspired, network, or just buy some awesome makeup at a discount!

There are going to be a lot of great brands on there including Nars, Zuca, Crown Brush, Cozzette, Senna, Make Up For Ever, Emryolisse, and so much more!
